Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your primary duties will include:
- Managing the accrual-based financial records for multiple clients, ensuring timely and precise monthly close processes and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Overseeing accounts receivable and payable functions, including vendor payments, unbilled revenue, deferred income, and bad debt provisions.
- Preparing cash management reports and managing fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory oversight.
- Processing payroll through third-party applications and addressing related tax filings and payroll inquiries.
- Supporting audits, budgeting, and forecasting by meticulously gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
- Evaluating lease agreements, maintaining both short-term and long-term commitments, and managing financing transactions.
- Handling a variety of tax filings, including sales and use tax, property tax, and client-specific business and franchise taxes.
- Delivering insightful analysis and solutions to complex technical accounting issues.
- Leading client meetings, ensuring exceptional customer service, and collaborating with external advisors.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client procedure manuals.
- Utilizing technology to identify and implement process enhancements.
Required Skills
We seek candidates with:
- A minimum of 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience and at least 2 years of proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, job costing, and tax compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks (Desktop/Online), Sage Intacct, Jirav, and Bill.com is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- An associate degree in accounting-related studies or equivalent experience is preferred but not mandatory.
